The immediate priority is helping Mother rebuild enough stability to care for both of her children while meeting Baby Geletta's continuing needs. If fundraising ultimately exceeds those immediate and near-term needs, the intention is to move the remaining support into professional long-term management for the children.

The family's first priority is getting through the crisis in front of them: caring for the children, maintaining contact and visitation, securing transportation, establishing stable housing, and creating the household needed for reunification.

Transportation to visits, medical appointments, services, work, hearings, and other obligations necessary to keep the family moving through the reunification process.
Recovery-related needs, medical travel, supplies, and future care needs as the longer-term effects of his injuries become clearer.
Practical expenses connected with visits, appointments, required services, household preparation, and creating the conditions needed for both children to return home.
Once immediate needs are met, remaining funds are intended to help provide longer-term stability and care for both children rather than ending when the campaign does.
Future trust
Excess funds are intended for the children's future.
After immediate and near-term family needs have been met, the family intends for remaining campaign funds to be placed into a professionally administered trust or comparable fiduciary arrangement for the continued care and support of both children.
Particular priority will be placed on Baby Geletta's longer-term needs because of the serious injuries he sustained. Those needs are not yet fully known. As his recovery continues, long-term support may include medical care, rehabilitation, developmental services, adaptive needs, transportation, or other care that becomes necessary.
His older brother is also part of the family's long-term planning. The goal is to preserve support for both children while recognizing that Baby Geletta may face additional care needs related to his injuries.
